How do we work
At Globe Scaffolding Cambridge we are committed to maintaining the highest safety management on all projects no matter how big or small.
Our Contract Managers make impromptu visits to all sites and produce reports for all to action and close out in agreed timescales alongside weekly scaffold inspections which are conducted at the request of our clients and reports are then issued to the client.
We also employ the services of an external consultant Peninsula who support us with Health and Safety and HR.
Our operatives receive a regular Tool box talks covering a range of topics including everything from asbestos to working at height.
Every project is has its own unique Method Statement and Risk assessment produced prior to commencement of work, which is agreed and signed by all parties involved to ensure that works are completed in accordance to H&S standards as a priority.
All accidents and near misses, regardless of how minor they may seem are reported and recorded to ensure we do our upmost to prevent reoccurrences and preventative control measures are put in place.
All of our operatives are CISRS trained and hold the appropriate skill card for their respected level. All our operatives work in accordance with current SG4 & TG20 guidelines with regular refresher training. Our most important resource is our Employees. We are committed to the training and development of our entire workforce so that they will reach their full potential within the Scaffolding trade.
Regular visits to sites by our Contracts Managers allows for close monitoring of individuals progress and any training and development needs that may arise. We also encourage site supervisors/employees to recommend themselves for further training. We firmly believe that the commitment we make to our employees through training has helped grow our loyal & confident work force which is something we are very proud of and hard to come by in the construction industry.
We conduct regular appraisals, and we encourage our employees to give us feedback as this is the only way we can grow as a company.
All external training provided by the organisation will be of no cost to the employee.
We ensure that all operatives are provided with branded PPE, including boots, Hi Vis, T-shirts/Coats/Waterproof clothing as well as a new double lanyard harnesses which will be routinely inspected by our qualified Harness inspector.
For the last three years we have been perfecting our own unique internal system to aid with monitoring job performance and producing accurate invoicing/applications. We have an exclusive system to Globe Scaffolding which allows allocation of labour to particular elements of projects which then produces reports which we have found to be integral to successfully adhering to time schedules and programmes set by our clients.
We believe that we have only scratched the surface with what we can do with our now well established system and look forward to developing it further in the coming years.
